We were resting on a public bench and my wife was busy striking a deal with a local ambulant vendor, so I got my iPod Touch out, mooched on an unsecured wireless connection, read my email, blog reader, Twitter, Skyped cousin in France and then finally checked in a few repeaters back home using Echolink.

ReplyDeleteI remember it well. Lived in Ashford at the time. Got stuck providing radio services for a National Guard soldier, from Georgia, driving a snow plow.
It was his first time driving in snow.
Perhaps you will remember me as the infamous net control on the .79 machine after the Windsor Locks Tornado.
